Light-SaberT5 is a smart and energy efficient street lamp fixture that saves energy and offers best light utilization for narrow village roads, or residential bylanes. With an average input power consumption of 20W, and near unity Power factor, the lamp offers a maximum light output of 2350 lumens, during the peak intensity periods. The LightSaberT5 luminaire is designed around the 4 feet long 28 Watt T5 fluorescent tube. It is a mis-conception that T5 lamps are far more efficient than the corresponding T8 lamps. One may note that while the 28W T5 delivers 2350 lumens, the 36W T8 delivers 2950 lumens.
